Frederick Turner

 

Frederick Turner, Ph.D. is a professor emeritus in the Political Science Department at UConn and teaches political science and sociology at Bulkeley High School in Hartford. A specialist in the areas of Mexican and South American democratization, Dr. Turner has many publications in both English and Spanish. and tenures teaching at Harvard, Yale, University of Connecticut, and Universidad de San Andres.

SOCI 107 - Introduction to Sociology

  • Either semester. Three credits.
  • Modern society and its social organizations, institutions, communities, groups, and social roles: the socialization of individuals, family, gender, race, and ethnicity, religion, social class, crime and deviance, population, cities, political economy, and social change.
