UConn Web Access
Certified ECE Instructors have access to many academic resources
at UConn. Like other University affiliates (Faculty, Staff,
Students) you have a NetID which identifies you as part of
the UConn ECE Community and is your key to the UConn Library
and web access. If you ever forget your NetID, you can always
find it again at: https://netid.uconn.edu/.
However, there is no need to even be on a UConn campus to
enjoy your benefits - the internet can provide many resources
without even leaving your office. As a ECE Faculty Member,
you can network with your colleagues and participate in departmental
chat rooms with the UConn ECE Web Connector (WebCT Vista).
This secure website allows you the chance to discuss documents,
tests, and exchange ideas.

UConn has thousands of online journals, databases, research
tools, media resources, library specialists, and access to
interlibrary loans can further develop your UConn course.
(See Library and E-Journal section
for more information)
ECE Faculty and students with NetIDs can access these journals
from their home or work computer with little set-up. However,
you must first create a "Proxy Account". Computer
set-up is not difficult. Instructions can be found at:
You can find directions to create a "Proxy
Account" at:
http://www.helpdesk.uconn.edu/trouble/proxy/proxyconfig.html
A VPN Account is often a quicker and less daunting
process. You can find-out more about the VPN system and set-up
your account at:
